Mary, star of the wedding | San Pedro wedding photography

It was back to Mary, Star of the Sea this weekend for Michelle and Andre's San Pedro wedding. This was the locale of our first church wedding, back in 2004, and it was great to return to the big church that dominates the skyline of beautiful downtown San Pedro.

After the wedding, the couple drove off in their classic Chevrolet to the jewel of San Pedro, Averill Park, home to many a post-wedding and post-quinceanera photo. Even with the misty Saturday, the park was full with photographers, but we were able to nab a nice prime spot by the bridge, where we loved capturing Michelle's reflection in the water.

Manhattan Beach American Martyrs Wedding | Yvonne & Kevin

We live on Laurel Avenue, just four blocks from the big American Martyrs church, which dominates the skyline of Manhattan Beach, so it was our extreme pleasure to be hired by Yvonne and Kavin to do the video for their Manhattan Beach wedding at American Martyrs over the weekend.
It was a huge weekend in town, with the Manhattan Beach Open volleyball tournament, so after the wedding, we brought the happy couple to the El Porto beach area of town, just two blocks away from Verandas, the site of their reception.
No problem with thousands of spectators here--the beach belonged to the happy couple.

Orange County Wedding Photography | Jones Victoria Estate

The Jones Victorian Estate is this wonderful vintage house and property tucked away on a quiet street in Orange. You arrive entering a big gate, travel up a long driveway (locale of some of the best shots here!) and then escape back in time for a setting unlike any we've seen in Southern California.
The wedding ceremony is held behind the house, and afterwards, one lucky bride and groom and photographer get to enter the house, which isn't open to the public. What a memorable backdrop!
We first met Brandi and Kyran back in 2009, and had the good fortune of accompanying them down to the Manhattan Beach Pier for an unforgettable engagement session, highlighted by an amazing dip in the sand. It was fun recreating the dip in the Jones driveway.

Hermosa Beach Wedding on the beach | Karen & Joel

Karen and Joel live in Colorado, but thought it would be a lot of fun to get married on the sandy Hermosa Beach, so they towed their collective three kids, rented a house right on the world-famous Hermosa Beach Strand, and got hitched Friday night. We were there.

June Gloom is here, so we missed out on a great sunset. But we reached into our grabbag of Photoshop tricks to help out and bring in some memorable colors.

More from Erin & Chris's Redondo Beach Wedding

Another Graham & Graham Photography video montage from Erin and Chris's Redondo Beach wedding--this one produced with Animoto software. The previous show was with ProShow Producer. Which do you like better?

Redondo Beach Wedding | Portofino | Erin & Chris

Here's a fun video highlight reel and pictoral highlights from Erin & Chris's weekend wedding at the Portofino in Redondo Beach. Sure it was windy--in fact, it was so blowy, Erin's bridal veil flew off as she walked down the aisle with Chris. But what's a little wind? Everyone had a great time watching the waves crash against the rocks, and seeing a great couple tie the knot. Congrats!

Redondo Beach Senior Photos | Margaret

This was something new--and fun--for us!

We met Margaret and her sisters in Manhattan Beach at the Manhattan Beach Pier for a senior portrait session. Margaret is about to graduate from Redondo Union High School in June, and wanted to have some sunset beach shots to hand out to the family. We were thrilled to be there for her.

Congratulations, Margaret!

Viva Las Vegas! Casey and Adam's Las Vegas Wedding

We first met Casey and Adam when we did their engagement shoot under the Manhattan Beach pier. They liked the pictures so much they invited us to go to Vegas with them for the wedding and we jumped at the opportunity.

The ceremony took place at Caesars Palace and we had fun capturing the two newlyweds in front of the statues and columns scattered throughout the famed hotel and casino.

As you can see, we had a lot of fun.

Casey and Adam, thanks for inviting us to be a part of your special day.

Flying to Catalina for lunch with Joani & Marcel

Just a few weeks ago we did the wedding video and photography for Joani and Marcel's Marina del Rey wedding at the Ritz-Carlton. Today, another highlight with the newlyweds--a ride on Marcel Air for lunch at the Catalina Island "airport in the sky."
Marcel, a commercial pilot, has a small plane for 4 that he likes to take out to fun locations, for views that you never see on Southwest or Delta! Check out the video for a sample! And thanks again Joani and Marcel.

Engagement Photos Los Angeles | Laguna Beach Engagement Photos

When Collette called about Los Angeles engagement photos, she mentioned that she'd love to get shots of her and future groom Rich with their bulldog, Boddington.
We usually do our engagement photos in Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach or Palos Verdes, but we were thrilled about the possibilities--how often do you see romantic engagement photos with a dog in the middle of the couple?

In Los Angeles, both Laguna Beach and Huntington Beach have dog-friendly beaches, allowing them to run free, (with leashes) during the winter months, so we asked Collette to meet us in Laguna. Easily the prettiest beach in Southern California, we wondered why we hadn't gone to Laguna to shoot engagement photos before? It's truly paradise by the sea--and having a great-looking couple (and a good sport of a pooch) to photograph didn't hurt either.

Thanks Collette and Richard for making the trek--and good look with the 8/21 wedding in Seattle!
